THREE Gwent police officers pulled a man from a river in a daylight rescue.
The 52-year-old man is said to be in a stable condition after being taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport, following the rescue in Pontypool on Sunday afternoon. He was treated for hypothermia.
A member of the public dialled 999 at about 3pm after spotting the man, who is from Pontypool, in the river near the town's tower bridge in Park Road.
