THREE cars were gutted after being set on fire in a Blackwood street in the early hours.
The vehicles were parked in Coed Cae Walk when the blaze started at around 4.30am on Tuesday.
It is believed attempts were made to steal two of the cars before they were torched.
South Wales Fire Service said the cause of the blaze is being treated as deliberate.
The owner of one of the vehicles - a year-old Toyota Yaris - said she bought it six weeks ago. Jane Marley, aged 31, of Coed Cae Walk, said: "I just wish something like this would happen to the people who did this and then they would know how it feels."
Another car, a Rover 200, belongs to Belinda Taysome, 46, also of Coed Cae Walk. She says she woke to see smoke coming from her 21-year-old nephew's VW Golf parked next to hers.
No one has yet been arrested.
