NEWPORT COUNTY boss Peter Beadle is urging his side to continue helping themselves in the battle for Conference South survival.
County travel to Essex outfit, Bishop's Stortford tomorrow after picking up four points from their last two games to move off the foot of the table.
Beadle has re-signed defender Andrew Thomas and has drafted in experienced league campaigners John Brough and ex-Wales cap Andy Legg in moves that seem to have galvanised the entire squad.
It has given the manager confidence and he is urging his charges to finally win back-to-back league games for the first time this season.
Beadle said: "We are fired up and the players are very positive and keen to keep the winning feeling.
"We feel we can get a result at Bishop's Stortford. We followed a good showing at Bognor, where we snatched a point, by comprehensively beating Basingstoke in what was a good, disciplined performance.
"We beat Bishop's Stortford earlier in the season so it would be nice to do the double over a team for the first time this season."
Beadle will travel to Essex with a fully fit squad, though midfielder Gary Fisken is suspended following his red card at Bognor.
Ashley Williams is set to take his place with Thomas coming into the side at right back. Thomas' probation officer has agreed to change the hours when the defender can be out of his house from 7am-7pm to 9am-11pm.
Beadle has arranged for someone to pick Thomas up and take him to the game as the players' coach is leaving at 8.15am.
"Andrew did very well on Saturday and he is in my thoughts for this game as he is an experienced player with a lot to offer" Beadle said.
Defender Terry Evans has been told by Beadle that he is no longer welcome at the club. Evans has been AWOL since being dropped at Weymouth three weeks ago and boss Beadle has had enough.
Beadle said: "I need committed players, so he is no longer welcome here."
Evans could not be contacted for comment.
The transfer deadline for the Conference South is next Thursday and Beadle is looking to bring in two more players.
