NEWPORT County midfielder Nathan Davies will make his 250th appearance for the club tomorrow as his side take another step in their quest to avoid Conference South relegation.
Sutton United are the visitors (kick-off 3pm) and it will be a special occasion for Davies, a product of the club's youth academy.
But Davies isn't too concerned with his own personal milestone; he is fully focused on the side collecting three points.
The midfielder who made his debut on December 2 1998 against Fields Park/Pontllanfraith in the Gwent Senior Cup, believes County have what it takes to avoid the drop.
He explained: "It is a really nice mark to reach, 250 games is a lot and I am proud to have been associated with the club for so long.
"But I can't be thinking about my own milestone because it is such a hugely important game for the club, we need to get a result and we need to carry on where we left off in the last two games.
"The lads are absolutely buzzing at the moment, the spirit is exceptional and the whole squad feels like we can win any game, starting today."
Davies has yet to be offered a new contract to stay at the club and admits that with his present deal expiring in the summer, he is keen for the club to sign him up.
"I definitely want to stay here, County are my club and I am still hungry to help us become successful, it is not in my thoughts to move on at the moment," he said.
"I have not spoken with the gaffer (manager Peter Beadle) yet but I hope the club want me to stay, I would like to help us to get to the right end of the Conference South next season and hope the club want to keep me."
Davies also spoke of his delight at seeing defender Andrew Thomas return to the club.
"Andrew is one of my best mates, not just in football either," he said.
"We have known each other a long time and he is popular in the dressing room, I think everybody was delighted to see him return."
Thomas has an ankle strain and is a massive doubt for today's game.
Boss Beadle has an otherwise fully fit squad, so if Thomas does miss out then Ashley Williams will deputise at right back.
If Williams switches to defence it will mean a recall to the County midfield for either Lee Jenkins (back from medial knee ligament damage) or Gary Fisken (back from suspension).
County possible: Pennock, A Williams, Cochlin, Hillier, Brough, Bowen, Davies, Fisken, Bater, Hughes, Green
Subs from: Blackburn, Jenkins, Hearne, O'Sullivan, Toppar, Prosser, Bailey
