STAFF at a Newport company dressed up for a charity fun run in the city. More than 70 staff from the Office of National Statistics helped raise hundreds of pounds for the Noah's Ark Appeal by running around Tredegar Park yesterday.
Serious runners took on the 2.6 mile course while fun runners, dressed in a variety of costumes including gorillas and Batman, completed a one mile route.
ONS project manager Sue Smith said: "The run went really well. Everyone enjoyed the day and really got into the spirit of things.
"They all enjoyed an indoor barbecue afterwards." It was the 25th anniversary of the annual run which has raised large amounts of money for various charities.
The Noah's Ark Appeal is raising cash for a children hospital in Cardiff.
