Cardif based Kier Managed Services, has successfully retained one of the most prestigious facilities management contracts in the UK - that of the Welsh Development Agency South East Wales Region.
The company, which leads the field in facilities management throughout the country, was first awarded the contract in January 2002, following a competitive tender process.
The contract includes the facilities management of 28 buildings throughout south east Wales with services provided including helpdesk, property surveys, cleaning, reception, mechanical and electrical maintenance, security and grounds maintenance. The service also includes the management of the WDA conference facilities in Newport. Kier currently has a facilities team of 14 dedicated to the contract.
Kier Managed Services managing director, Colin Porton, said: "As an organisation it is vital that we retain our existing contracts in order to be able to move the company forward. "Our ethos is based on developing long term partnerships with clients. Our team has worked extremely hard in developing a relationship with the WDA which has culminated in us being successful in the re-tender process. "The WDA is one of the most prestigious clients in Wales and we are naturally delighted to be able to continue the relationship with them."
