Employees at a South Wales call centre operation going from strength to strength after a takeover have appealed to former colleagues to rejoin them to take up over 100 new jobs being created.
Cwmbran company Dial, which became a subsidiary of Yes Loans Ltd last month, is achieving a flood of new business under the new management arrangements, and the combined operation needs to take on the new staff to work alongside its existing 300 employees.
Melfyn Roberts, managing director of the enlarged operation, said both Yes Loans, which brokers loans, and Dial, which handles incoming and outbound calls for a range of blue chip companies, were expanding fast, and anticipated employing 450 people by this time next year. "We've completely changed structures, pay scales and the whole atmosphere here at Cwmbran in the last month," he said. "Business is booming, and we need to make sure that we can recruit the right calibre of staff. "The obvious place to start is with people who worked here over the past 18 months or so and know the ropes. Some were here until recently, but understandably became uncertain about their future during the takeover when some 300 jobs were under threat."
The company is appealing to past employees to come back and apply for the new vacancies - and their former workmates are adding their weight to the plea.
Almost 20 current members of staff have signed a letter which has gone out to the homes of former employees, urging them to rejoin the company and enjoy a changed environment and improved bonus and rewards structures. "Come back - it's great," was one of the comments from members of staff. "The buzz is fab and the money is better than ever!" was another.
Mr Roberts said Yes Loans Ltd was a highly successful and profitable Welsh operation. "We took over Premiumstar Ltd, trading as Dial, at the beginning of February in a deal which did not involve any public money, and we are focused on developing Dial to play a significant role in the expanded operation. "The drive for new recruits is a clear sign that the revitalised company means business, and I am delighted that staff have come forward to endorse the new jobs on offer. "It says so much that our existing staff think things are so good here that they want their old workmates to come back - we certainly hope they will," he said.
