We here at NPLife always like to hear good news stories. So we were delighted when we received this from a pupil at Rougemont School telling us all about its Young Enterprise company...
Supernova has launched a new product which it feels will fill a gap in the map/guides market.
Called Junction 49, it is a directory and guide of activities and places to stay along the M4. It includes a detailed history of the M4 and an extensive junction guide. The directory is available in a 42-page booklet form and as a CD-Rom.
Founded in 1963, UK registered charity Young Enterprise runs a range of business and enterprise education programmes for more than 280,000 young people each year through the support of 3,000+ businesses and 11,500+ volunteers. It offers students the opportunity to run a real company in Company Programme, which Supernova is participating in.
Co-managing director of Supernova, Rory Sweeney, pictured above, said: "It's fantastic to see the ideas put forward finally printed in the directory and to see our huge efforts rewarded in a product which will hopefully take us a long way in the Young Enterprise competition this year."
Schools throughout Newport are taking part in Young Enterprise by setting up companies and gaining experience which will be good for them in the wider world. NPLife says good luck to you all!
