NPLIFE had an exclusive invite to a fashion show with a difference.
NPLife was invited along to a unique event which happened at city centre hairdressing salon Burlesque recently - and what an experience it turned out to be!
Burlesque created six different looks on six models over two days in their Cambrian Street salon. And photography students from the University of Wales, Newport, were on hand to take pictures of models for Burlesque owners Dave and Stuart.
The whole event was staged as a way for Burlesque to get some great pics of the looks they can create. It was also the first time the university has participated in anything like this.
The pictures, which will be picked from the hundreds taken over the two days, will be used as promotion for the salon, which also has a base in Caerleon. They will also go to national hair magazines - you know the ones you look through when you want to change your style.
Our photographer was able to take behind the scenes shots of the whole event including the models being prepared by the stylists and the students making sure they get just the right shot.
Needless to say Dave and Stuart are absolutely delighted with the outcome of the event and no doubt you'll be seeing the pictures around.
