ENTERPRISING pupils won a business competition with their students' guide to Newport.
The sixth-form team from the city's St Joseph's RC High School won the best company title at the Young Enterprise awards at the University of Newport.
They will now represent Newport in the competition's Gwent finals. The 18 students, called Extreme Enterprise, made a guide aimed at attracting students to the city. Featuring interviews with local celebrities including rappers Goldie Lookin' Chain, the glossy booklet sells for £2 in WH Smith in Newport.
They had advice from a business consultant from Acorn recruitment and raised money for printing costs through fundraising.
Jo Beer, head of business at St Joseph's said: "The team worked really hard and are already making a profit."
A team from Rougemont school, called Supernova, were runners-up with another directory.
