WALES lost more jobs in the three months to August than any UK region, official figures showed today.
Unemployment rose by 24,000 to 130,000, up 45,000 on the same quarter the previous year.
It takes the jobless rate to 9.1% compared to a UK-wide rate of 7.9%.
Across the UK, unemployment held virtually static at 2.47 million with an increase of 88,000.
