CLOSE your eyes and you could be forgiven for thinking you were at a live Take That concert.
Complete with screaming fans and a standing ovation at the end, Never Forget, the musical inspired by the 90s’ biggest boy band, was as close to the real thing as you could get.
Crammed with energetic dance routines and a cast more than able to deliver on vocals, dedicated fans of the revived band were not disappointed.
Teamed with a laugh-out-loud script and loveable characters, the show tells the story of five young men who enter a local talent competition looking for a way to better their lives.
In the fight to make it to the top they discover fame comes at a price but friendships last forever.
Jam-packed with Take That favourites including A Million Love Songs, Relight My Fire and Back For Good, the show made it clear why Gary, Mark, Jason, Howard and Robbie became so popular. Highlights of the show included a 24-foot curtain of rain and a hilarious striptease by ex-Brookside and Hollyoaks star Philip Olivier, playing Howard. Rounding the night off with an encore, a packed Millennium Centre was brought to its feet, arms raised and dancing, and left the auditorium with a feeling they would Never Forget.
