THE man who murdered Pontypool driving agency boss Kingsley Monk, tried to kill three of his co-workers and held them captive in a terrifying four-hour ordeal will serve at least 30 years in prison, a judge ruled today.
Russell Leon Carter, 52, from Rumney, Cardiff, will be 82 before he is considered for parole, the Recorder of Cardiff, Judge Nicholas Cooke QC, decided today.
Carter will be serving a mandatory life sentence for murder, and the judge imposed the 30-year tariff for his crimes at a hearing in Newport crown court.
