PEOPLE across Gwent dressed in pink on Friday to raise money for breast cancer charities.
Wear It Pink Day was part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Abergavenny’s Mardy Park Resource Centre got into the spirit by holding a Pink Party.
Residents dressed in pink and donated money to sing Shirley Bassey hits, Tom Jones classic “The Green Green Grass of Home” and Christmas carol “Silent Night” on a karoke machine.
They could also pay to throw sponges at the staff and held a raffle and makeup and jewellery evening.
Staff at Newport Ford on Leeway Industrial Estate dressed up in tutus, bunny outfits and pink ties.
They also sold homemade pink cakes and raised more than £150 through donations from customers and staff.
