A BLACKWOOD woman celebrated her 100th birthday with a hat-trick of parties.
Millie Ellis reached the milestone on Saturday and to mark the occasion, she had a buffet with at Mount Pleasant baptist church.
Saturday was a party for family, friends and neighbours at her house in Coronation Road, followed by lunch at Blackwood rugby club yesterday for family and close friends.
Mrs Ellis was born in Somerset and moved to Blackwood when she was six.
She has one daughter, Nanette Moss, 79, two grandchildren, Robert Moss, 53, and Jayne Phillips, 49.
She also has three great-grandchildren, David Phillips, 21, Gethin Phillips, 18, and Thomas Moss, 16.
She puts her long life down to "a good life, good food and good living."
