ANDY Marinos will miss Newport's Principality Cup quarter-final clash with Cardiff on Friday night with a broken finger he sustained playing for Wales against England, writes Robin Davey.
He will also miss Wales' final Six Nations match against Scotland a week on Saturday.
"It's a real blow," admitted Newport coach Ian McIntosh.
"You're only as strong as your squad and if you can't play well and be up for the job for a game like this there's no point."
Jonathan Pritchard, who has been out for two months with a hamstring injury, could return.
Failing that, Wales under-21 pair Hal Luscombe and Nathan Brew will battle it out for a place in the team alongside Matthew Watkins.
