THE South Wales Argus has achieved hard-hitting results after we launched our campaign just five days ago.
On Monday, we exclusively revealed Nigel Evans was the Bonymaen player behind the rascist remarks directed against Newport scrum half Ofisa Tonu'u in the Principality Cup match between the clubs, and Newport AM John Griffiths praised our campaign in a plenary session at the National Assembly.
Mr Griffiths also secured a promise that the Assembly would make a statement on the issue.
"The South Wales Argus is running an excellent campaign for a strong response in the light of the perceived inadequacies of the response so far," he said.
And Minister for Sport Jenny Randerson is set to make a response. The developments in the Assembly have raised the issue to a national level, with television and other sections of the media now expected to follow our lead.
