NEWPORT prop Adrian Garvey, pictured, will make a personal appearance at tonight's meeting of the Welsh Rugby Union disciplinary committee, writes Robin Davey.
Newport club solicitors will also be present when the committee discuss Garvey's citing by Leinster.
The Irish province cited him after the Celtic League quarter-final at Donnybrook 11 days ago, claiming he had stamped on their outside half Nathan Spooner.
Leinster alleged the head injuries which forced Spooner off the field were caused by Garvey's boot.
But Newport coach Ian McIntosh claimed there was no intent on the part of Garvey or anyone else.
Newport also tried to cite Spooner and replacement forward Trevor Brennan for dangerous tackles, but the WRU disciplinary committee threw the cases out after studying the evidence without passing the cases on to their Irish counterparts.
