NEWPORT number eight Andrew Powell could be out for two weeks after marking his debut in major representative rugby with a try for Wales A in their 30-14 defeat by Argentina at Pontypridd last night.
Powell sufffered a slight sprain to his right shoulder just after scoring Wales A's only try and has been advised to rest for a fortnight.
That means he is likely to miss Wales A's game against Tonga at Llanelli next Tuesday and possibly Newport's game against Uruguay a week on Sunday as well.
"I landed on it awkwardly and suffered a slight sprain. I might be out for two weeks, but we'll see what happens in the next few days," said the 20-year-old.
Powell found it a daunting debut at a higher level after just 10 games for Newport. "It's a step up from premier rugby. There's not as much running, but it's more physical, I could feel it," he said.
"They were a strong pack, they're one of the strongest in the world.
"But it was nice to get over for a try, though it was a good team effort really."
