NEWPORT prop Chris Anthony must wait a while longer to claim a place in the Welsh team.
Wales captain David Young yesterday passed a fitness test on the ankle injury he suffered playing for Cardiff in Monferrand last weekend.
So he will lead the Welsh team in Saturday's postponed Six Nations Championship game against Ireland at the Millennium Stadium.
Anthony was on stand-by to earn his 11th cap after playing in both games in Japan this summer while Young was in Australia with the British Lions.
Anthony has been sharing the tight head role with Adrian Garvey at Newport, but has impressed coach Ian McIntosh, while Wales coach and team manager Alan Phillips also noted his contribution when he went on against Toulouse last Saturday.
Newport lock Ian Gough should be back in the running for Wales for the November internationals against Argentina, Tonga and Australia.
He plays his second comeback game on Sunday for a Newport XV against Caerleon and then has three possible senior matches against Swansea and Leinster twice before Wales' match against Argentina.
Young is fit for Wales, but young Cardiff team-mate Jamie Robinson's first Six Nations call for Wales lasted barely 48 hours.
He suffered a hamstring twinge in training and is not considered fit enough to make it against the Irish.
"It was a difficult decision to make, but he's not quite there," said Henry.
