NEWPORT Rugby Club are creating over 100 extra seats in their main Hazell stand for next season when there will also be a slight rise in some season ticket prices.
They have created a new platinum area while seats in the Hazell Stand will cost from £135-£195 depending on the position.
Argus terrace season tickets remain at £100 for an adult, £25 for a child and £80 concession, unless a parent buys a family stand ticket when the child goes free. Hazell Stand terrace (covered) season tickets will cost £120.
A family stand seat, including a child's seat free, or seats for two parents with two children's seats free, will cost £135 or £270, concessions £90, child only £25.
The club say concessionary groups, which include senior citizens, students and disabled people, are advised to buy season tickets as concessions will not apply to match-day tickets.
"Season tickets incorporating all home league and European pool matches, Celtic pool games, friendlies, under-21 and under-19 matches represents tremendous value for money," said Newport chief executive Keith Grainger.
"We hope the people of Newport show their support for the team in the best way possible by buying a season ticket now."
Apart from the extra seats in the main stand, Newport are erecting four more hospitality boxes, taking the number to 20, and are building extra toilet facilities and putting in another bar near the pitch.
- Newport's newly appointed coach, Ian McIntosh, will arrive at the start of August, for the start of the new season, possibly on August 18.
Definitely missing will be Wales lock Ian Gough, who is using a special bike loaned by Llandough Hospital to keep his fitness levels up, though it will be mid-September before he can resume contact work on his damaged shoulder.
