Top toy and model designers Revell have recreated a piece of British racing history with the Jaguar E-type Le Mans 1963 slot car - the very car, racing legend Briggs Cunningham raced in his last ever Le Mans. Motoring enthusiasts can now experience the thrills and spills of racing this historic car all from the comfort of their own armchair!
Only 12 lightweight E-types were ever produced, and of those no less than three were owned by Briggs Cunningham, who used them all at Le Mans in 1963. In a remarkable end to a notable career at the Sarthe, Cunningham and his racing partner, Bob Grossman still managed to bring the car over the finish line despite suffering an accident at the Mulsanne corner.
After a frantic pit stop to replace the steering, front suspension, wheels and tyres, bonnet and lights, Briggs and Bob stole a place in Le Mans folklore! The Revell Jaguar E-type Le Mans slot car is finished in fantastic detail and captures all the car's original details, including the starting number 15, and appears in the iconic Cunningham team colours of white and blue.
Thomas Randrup, Country Manager for UK & Ireland comments, "With only 12 of these unique E-types ever made this is a fantastic way for motoring enthusiasts and fans to see this classic car race again."
