THESE lamb quadruplets were born in Usk last week, proving that spring is well on its way.
The four lambs were born at Glen Court Farm near Llanllowell on March 19, and not only did all four survive but they are being looked after by their mum rather than being hand raised.
Dora Andrews, who runs the farm with her husband Stuart, said: “We often have triplets, but it’s quite unusual to have quads that are all the same size and able to look after themselves. They’re looking smashing.”
Mrs Andrews said did not know the lambs’ mother was expecting quads when she went into labour last week.
“I delivered the first three, and then when I came back to check on the mum there was another one. It was quite a surprise!”
The four lambs are being kept inside at the moment, but will be moved outside once the weather gets warmer.
