A Monmouthshire man was amazed by the level of interest in his gravedigging business and said he could have sold it 20 times over.
Peter Telfer, 33, from Llanishen, was featured in the Argus last month, as he was selling his one-man business.
He sold it to a man from Rogerstone, for the £13,000 asking price the day the story featured, and added “I genuinely lost count of the number of other calls and texts I received”.
Mr Telfer said most of the calls came from people disillusioned with their work or who had been made unemployed by the recession.
He added: “There will always be deaths and funerals, so it is a good solid career with secure earnings in this difficult financial climate.”
