FLIGHTS to and from Cardiff and Bristol and airports across the UK are suspended until 1am tomorrow (Tuesday) at the earliest, due to the volcanic ash cloud.
Making the ruling, air traffic control company Nats said conditions around the movement of the layers of the volcanic ash cloud over the UK "remained dynamic".
Nats said it was maintaining close dialogue with the Met Office and with the Civil Aviation Authority and that its next flight update would be made later.
The latest Nats ruling came as ministers were in Downing Street at a meeting of the "Cobra" civil contingencies committee to discuss the ash crisis.
Before attending the Cobra meeting, Cabinet Office Minister Tessa Jowell denied that the Government had been too slow in its reaction to the crisis.
She said: "This is obviously a serious crisis, it is putting thousands and thousands of people to enormous inconvenience and anxiety, and the Government has acted.
"At every airport where there are likely to be UK citizens trying to return home there have been consular staff."
She added that the Department for Transport and Transport Secretary Lord Adonis had been "working round the clock in order to try to make sure that, within the context of safety being the most important consideration, services can be restored to normal as soon as possible".
Ms Jowell went on: "I think everybody would understand that the overriding concern is the safety of passengers."
Have you been hit by the disruption?
