A CYCLIST was airlifted to hospital after falling while riding his bike in Cwmcarn Forest Drive.
The man was one of two cyclists injured in a crash on Saturday morning.
The Ambulance service said the pair fell while riding their bikes along the bike track, but it is not known how far.
An ambulance was called to the scene at 11.07am and an air ambulance was requested a short time later in order to get access to the cyclists.
One man was airlifted by the RAF Sea King to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, after suffering a shoulder injury but the nature of the injuries suffered by the other rider were not known as the Argus went to press.
A spokeswoman for the Welsh Ambulance NHS Trust said the injuries to the two cyclists are not thought to be life-threatening.
