Hundreds of locals will be putting their best foot forward on May 16 - to take part in the Wye Valley walk at Monmouth Showground.
The event, which is organised by Monmouth Rotary club, will see walkers choose from four different routes according to their level of fitness- with the longest a hefty 13.5 miles.
Last year 450 walkers raised £19,000 for “In the Pink,” a breast cancer research charity.
Buses will take participants to their chosen starting point at Redbrook, Bigsweir Bridge, Tintern Old Station or Chepstow Leisure Centre.
They will then head back to the showground along the banks of the River Wye.
Rotarian Norman Williams said that everyone knows someone who has been affected by the killer disease and encouraged locals to take part in the fundraising effort.
“We were very pleased with the response and support last year, and are hoping to do even better this year,” he said.
Entry forms can be downloaded from www.pinkwalks.co.uk or by contacting Mr Williams on 01291 680016.
