Born and raised in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire one of seven children. Coming from a working class family, I understand the importance of needs, trust and aspiration. Having lived all over during my career in the Army I currently live with my partner Terri in Newport.
Medicine and Aviation are the two passions that have guided my career path to date. Leaving the Army as a helicopter pilot after 16 years service, I have kept my love of flying alive by working as a CAA/JAA approved ATPL instructor.
A highly experienced trainer, I currently produce Training Manuals, Quality Manuals, and Information and Safety Management Systems for various companies around the world.
After leaving the Army I gained a BSc in Psychology before going on to train as a paramedic and I worked for seven years with the London Ambulance Service as well as Air Ambulance and as Chief Paramedic in Libya.
I am highly experienced in corporate health and safety issues and risk assessment, but my real forte lies in expertise of human factors and behavioural based solutions in safety critical areas.
I became involved in politics because I was disillusioned with the way that we as voters were being ignored and treated with contempt deciding that if we wanted to change anything we needed to do it from the inside.
In choosing to represent UKIP I recognise the disgraceful manner in which politicians from the more traditional parties have stripped away every last vestige of our democracy whilst lining their own pockets and abdicating the running of our country to the EU.
I understand the feelings of people and how important it is to listen, understand and act. I think that our existing elected representatives have forgotten those very simple actions.
