HUNDREDS of tributes are pouring in for a man who died in his neighbour's arms.
A Facebook group was set up in memory of Alan Falvey, 30, who was found with serious chest injuries in Greenwood Road, Abersychan, believed to have been caused by a single stab wound on Tuesday evening. His death prompted a murder inquiry.
The group R.I.P Alan Falvey (Falvey boy) already has more than 310 members who have been leaving messages of condolence on the social networking site.
Richard Slack said: "Gutted mate, can't believe you're gone. What a top bloke, shared some of the best days of my life with you, memories that will never be forgotten. R.I.P Falvey boy."
Mark Glasgow added: "R.I.P Falvey, it's such a tragedy it is. You couldn't have met a nicer guy than him.
Such a pleasure to have known you and been one of your good mates, you'll be sadly missed now you are at rest."
Supt Peter Keen said Mr Falvey suffered suspected knife wounds and forensic tests are being carried out on knives recovered from the house to determine if any of these was the weapon used.
Mr Falvey was originally from Newport, and still has family in the city.
A police cordon sealing off all of Greenwood Road was lifted on Thursday evening.
A 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder and has been released on bail until June 9.
Police are asking anyone who was in the vicinity of Greenwood Road between 6pm and 7pm on Tuesday and may have seen something unusual to call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
