THOUSANDS of people defied the weekend's damp weather to enjoy the Border Counties Steam and Vintage Show.
The show, now in its 35th year, attracted almost 6,000 people over its two days ate the weekend despite the elements not being on their side.
Held at the Vauxhall Fields in Monmouth, visitors got a chance to get an up-close look at a huge variety of classic cars, motorcycles and military vehicles.
The showpiece of the event, a flying display from a Spitfire, had to be cancelled due to the weather.
Event organiser Ian Harper said: "I think everyone's enjoyed it - it's been a bit of a damp weekend but the crowds are still coming in and it's been very well received."
