DEMOLITION work started yesterday to remove 1980s extensions from a 400-year-old Bulmore farmhouse on the edge of the Celtic Manor’s 2010 Ryder Cup golf course.
Plans to demolish the house and rebuild it elsewhere in the grounds sparked a row between the hotel's owner Sir Terry Matthews who threatened to pull out of investments in Newport after the council's planning committee refused the application.
