Postmaster and postmistress, Peter and Janice Watson, are retiring after over nine years of running the Heather Road Post Office.

Peter says he could write a book of stories relating to their period of office on the St Julian’s estate. They have been happy to have been involved in the community and to have been a part of people’s life in good and sad times. Peter and Janice plan to remain in Newport but hope to spend time travelling. In September they will be replaced by Mr and Mrs Leighton from Cwmbran.
