A NEWPORT man is looking forward to releasing his second contemporary classical music album after setting up his own record label.
Greg Ryan, 21, of Rogerstone, set up ‘Red Scarf Records’ four months ago and now has three artists signed up to him.
The harpist, pianist and composer will now release his own second album, which has a working title of ‘Melody’, next month.
Mr Ryan released his first album ‘Scribblings’ in April last year through music websites such as iTunes and sold a few hundred copies.
He has now re-released the album on CD which is available to buy from his website.
On top of this, the aspiring musician is working on a charity album with friend Benedict Sutton to raise money for charity HOPEHIV and has also been asked to headline a gig in March at Glastonbury town hall with one of his artists Tim Miles.
Mr Ryan said: "I have always enjoyed music and taught myself to play piano from a young age. I set up the record label completely off my own back but am really pleased with how it is going."
