PARTS of the M4 motorway between the Coldra and Malpas will be closed at night for over five months.

This is to allow a concrete barrier to be installed between junctions 24 and 26, with work expected to last from February 7 until July 31.

During this period, the eastbound or westbound carriageways will be closed at different times, with traffic directed on to the offside to a temporary route. There will also be slip road closures with alternative routes signposted.

The work will initially take place between 9pm and 6am Monday to Thursday, 10pm to 8am on Fridays, 9pm to 9am on Saturdays and 10pm to 6am on Sundays.
