THE murder of a heavily pregnant Newport teenager at the weekend was a truly horrific crime that has left a community in shock.

From speaking to friends it seems Nikitta Grender was a much-loved youngster.

She had the whole of her life to look forward to and that included a life with her new baby.

Even the police seem shocked at the crime, describing it as and “horrific crime where two innocent lives have been lost”.

While it may be a few days before any motive for this terrible crime is unearthed, for now family and friends will be trying to cope with the loss of Nikitta and her baby.
