CARL Whant was today remanded in custody after being charged with the murder of pregnant teenager Nikitta Grender.
Whant, 26, from Newport, appeared before Caerphilly magistrates for a brief hearing today. He is charged with the murder of the 19-year-old and faces a charge of child destruction.
He will appear at crown court on Wednesday.
