A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a 30-year-old in St Mellons man.
James Way, of St Mellons, died yesterday morning after arriving in an unconscious state at the University of Wales Hospital in Cardiff.
South Wales Police said they are now investigating "the circumstances surrounding an incident’’ which took place at a flat in Holmesdale Street, Grangetown in Cardiff on Saturday evening.
Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Mark Lewis today issued an appeal for potential witnesses to come forward with information.
He said: "We know that James attended a flat in Windsor Court, Holmesdale Street, sometime on Saturday afternoon, where he may have been involved in an altercation.
"I wish to appeal for anyone with information on James's movements between 10am and 7pm on Saturday to contact the incident room at Cardiff Central police station on 02920 571530 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.’’
