Penygarn Allotments will receive £20,000 for improvements to fencing, a new secure gate and shed and the removal of debris.

Around £360,000 will go to the project called A Taste of Torfaen which aims to provide support and advice, networking and festivals in the area’s rural wards and a walking and cycling facility will be created from Pontypool town centre and Pontymoile canal basin to Crumlin with the use of £200,000 worth of funding.

The Technium Springboard business centre will receive just over £220,000 and £104,500 will be used to fund key events in the Torfaen borough.

Another major project is the aim to promote digital inclusion to residents in Communities First areas including Blaenavon, Trevethin, St Cadocs and Penygarn and Thornhill.

A digital inclusion officer could be employed to help with this through £117,393 worth of funding and an extra £10,672 for the project will come from Torfaen Council.
