THE Police helicopter attended a firearms incident in Maesglas, Newport, last night.
The helicopter was called in to help when a suspect vehicle made off from officers on the ground at around 11.25pm, the force's Twitter feed says.
Police later arrested two suspects.
There is no further detail as yet about the nature of the incident or the arrests made.
