A NEWPORT dance teacher is set to strut her stuff in a bid to become Miss Community Wales 2011.
Nadine Tilley, 20, from Coedkernew, is one of the finalists in the beauty pageant, which aims to promote community spirit, grace, beauty and creative talent.
Miss Tilley, who also competed for the Miss Newport crown last year, said: “I’ve done other beauty pageants and interviewed for this one. I would like to be Miss Community UK so that I can represent my country and because I believe I’m very good at bringing people together.
“My dance classes have brought a lot of people from Marshfield together, and also my dance shows have a huge impact.”
The competition, which is due to be held at Bar 411 in Cardiff on May 26, features three rounds – little black dress, evening gown and bikini. The winner will be in the running to be The Face of Miss Community United Kingdom.
Each regional winner will also receive £150 sponsorship to compete in the Miss Community United Kingdom Grand National Final in Huddersfield in September.
