THE family of an Undy toddler who fought three serious illnesses before the age of three is holding a sponsored Zumbathon to raise money for children’s cancer charity Latch.
Olivia Morgan was born with a condition known as Vein of Galen malformation, where vital capillaries are missing in her brain, and had to have emergency brain surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
She then fought a strawberry hemangioma – a birthmark on her chin characterised by aggressive growth – before being diagnosed with leukaemia last year.
The three-year-old is still undergoing chemotherapy, which will continue until next spring.
Her parents, Kate and Rob, have organised a Zumbathon led by instructor Andrea Hale at Magor Primary School this Sunday in the hope of raising £1,500 for Latch.
Around 100 people have already signed up to the event, 10am until noon, but fundraisers can still register on the day for £10.
