RESIDENTS in south west Cwmbran will be asked for their views on the garages in the area as part of a consultation by Bron Afon Community Housing.
The organisation will start with a survey of people living in Greenmeadow, St Dials, Two Locks, Hollybush, Coed Eva and Fairwater to see what people think of the number of garages and their condition.
The next step will be knocking on the doors of residents in the homes around each block of garages.
Many of the garages are rented out by Bron Afon but some have been bought by residents.
Dave Sharman, director of property at Bron Afon, said: “The information we find will help us decide howthey can be improved. This is genuine consultation as there are no decisions about what will be done.
The only limiting factor is that the answers that residents come up with must be able to be paid from the rental money that garages generate.”
The findings of the consultation will be shown at the Power Station in St Dials in the summer and the survey will be repeated in areas across Torfaen later in the year.
