THREE people were taken to hospital today after a collision close to the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport.
Police were called to the junction of Cardiff Road and Belle Vue Lane at around 1.50pm following a collision between a blue Mitsubishi Galant and a silver Vauxhall Astra.
The man driving the Mitsubishi was taken to the Royal Gwent, along with the woman driving the Astra and a man travelling the car as a precaution.
A Gwent Police spokeswoman said Belle Vue Lane was closed while police and the ambulance attended the scene.
