OVER 1,000 people attended a classic car show in Caldicot over the weekend.
The first Castle Retro Show was held at Caldicot Castle over three days and attracted 1,200 visitors from across the UK and beyond.
Almost 100 cars, including Mini’s and Porsche’s, were on display with trophies awarded to the best in several categories.
The event was organised by retro car enthusiasts David Roberts, of Ystrad Mynach and Anthony Williams of Caerphilly.
Visitors enjoyed stalls, live bands, children’s rides and a bouncy castle.
Mr Roberts, a facilities manager, said one enthusiast travelled from Holland for the event and highlights included several Porche 914’s, American Pick-Up's, a Fiesta XR2 and Mark 1 Escort.
