BLAENAU Gwent's Adult Learner of the Year Awards were announced last week, with an aspiring nurse and Welsh learner picking up the top prizes.
Lindsey James and Ceri Bevington were named overall winners at the 12th annual adult leaner of the year awards.
Ceri Bevington, who also won the community learner category, was chosen for her hard work juggling a young family with an access to nursing course at Coleg Gwent.
Lindsey James, winner of the Welsh learner category, was chosen for inspiring the rest of her class at Blaina Learning Action Centre.
The top awards, along with seven individual category winners, were announced at Llanhilleth Miners' Institute.
