CAST and crew on a Hollywood blockbuster have agreed to be mindful of four bats when they film on location in Gwent this month.
Film company Gorgon Productions will arrive in Gwent in two weeks time to film scenes for Clash of the Titans 2: Wrath of the Titans.
Parts of the film - which stars Irish actor Liam Neeson - will be filmed at Trefil Quarry after the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority granted Gorgon Productions planning permission to use it last week.
But in order to use the quarry, the film company have agreed to give the "utmost protection" to a group of four male lesser horseshoe bats who are nesting there.
A spokeswoman for the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority said the bats were discovered during surveys as part of the planning process, but there would be no problems with filming.
She said: "Measures have been put in place with the film company and Countryside Council for Wales to make sure the bats are afforded the utmost protection and the film company has taken its responsibilities to the environment extremely seriously."
