STAFF at a Newport insurance company are swapping seats for a treadmill as they chip in on a charity run this week.
People at Lloyds TSB General Insurance in Tredegar Park are helping cover 268.3 miles this week, representing the distance between the Newport office and a sister office in Shannon, Ireland.
The 'virtual torch' run, for Save the Children, is part of a number of activities the company is arranging as part of the build up to the London 2012 Olympics and was launched by 11-time Paralympic gold medallist David Roberts PR manager Kelly Davies said: "It's to get out colleagues excited about the Olympics and its good for the staff to meet David and be inspired by him."
