A CWMBRAN woman and Miss Wales finalist is joining forces with her colleagues, jumping out of a plane to raise money for the competition's chosen charity.
Laura Curtis, who won the public vote and was second runner up in Miss Torfaen, is doing a skydive with nine other employees at the TK Maxx store.
It is part of the 18-year-old's ongoing fundraising for The Joshua Foundation, before the Miss Wales final next month.
Ms Curtis, who was entered into Miss Torfaen by a family member, is pleased her colleagues from the store in Cwmbran Retail Park will be fundraising with her for the August skydive.
They have to put up £250 to do the jump, with the rest going to the chosen charity.
"I have always wanted to do something like this even though I'm scared of heights," Ms Curtis said.
"I am glad I have persuaded my colleagues to do it with me though and I'm very excited about the final."
