THE FAMILY of a missing Gwent man made an emotional appeal for anyone with information 'no matter how or small' to come forward.

Joel Andrews, 24, of Caldicot, went missing after an outdoor rave near Chagford on the edge of Dartmoor, Devon, on May 22.

Yesterday his family made a heartfelt plea for information saying his disappearance is "completely out of character."

Mr Andrew's sister, Carleigh Deakin, said: "Joel is a very happy and outgoing young man who lives his life to the full. His disappearance is completely out of character. Joel is a very family orientated man, even more so since moving home with our mum and close family.

"We are begging anyone with any information, no matter how big or small, to contact someone so we can get Joel home."

Ms Deakin said her mother appealed to the parents of anyone at the rave to speak to their children.

She said: "We know someone knows something so please let somebody now so we can bring Joel home."

Detective Inspector Steve Parker, of Devon and Cornwall Police, said: "We have a team of detectives working round the clock to find Joel, but as time goes on our concern for his safety inevitably increases. It is completely out of character for Joel not to make contact with his family and they are understandably very worried and desperate to hear from him."

He added that a key line of enquiry centred around Fernworthy Reservoir where Mr Andrews was last seen and reappealed for a ground of people seen wading in the reservoir at lunchtime on May 22 to come forward.

Officers are also appealing for anyone who saw Mr Andrews riding a mini motorbike in the area around the reservoir on May 22 to contact police on 08452 777444 quoting reference 421 280511.
