HUNDREDS of walking enthusiasts are preparing for this year’s Monmouthshire Walking Weekend.
The two-day event starts on Friday and sees walkers choose from 20 walks of different levels from Nordic Walking taster sessions to more experienced routes covering Monmouth, Abergavenny and the Wye Valley.
Organised by adventa, the county’s rural development programme, the twoday event also marks the fortieth anniversary since Offa’s Dyke was declared a national trail and also since the Wye Valley was named an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Walks cost £3 each and must be pre-booked.
